Frequently asked questions

Who is Philly Web Works for?

Owner operated local businesses in the Philadelphia area. Home services, trades, dental and wellness practices, professional services. If you run the business and you do not have a marketing person, that is exactly who we built this for.

What do I actually pay?

$796.25 a month for your first four months, then $297 a month after that.

The $1,997 setup is split across those first four months instead of due upfront. Most web design agencies in this area want the full build fee before they touch a keyboard. We spread it out so you can start now instead of next quarter.

What does the $297 a month cover?

It is not hosting. Hosting is ten dollars and you can buy it anywhere. The monthly is the work that keeps the site producing after launch.

Every month you get hosting, SSL, and a platform we keep running so it is never your problem, your Google Business Profile actively managed with posts and photos, automated review requests going out to every new customer, review monitoring with responses drafted for you, missed call text back, lead follow up automation, and a monthly report showing calls, forms, new reviews, and your rating.

Can I just pay the setup and skip the monthly?

No. The monthly is the product. A website by itself is a business card. It sits there. The ongoing work is what gets you found and gets you trusted, and that does not happen once.

How much of my time does this take?

Budget an hour or two total to gather all the information we need. We provide you with a Project Hub which is a guided workspace we set up for you. It walks you through exactly what we need, section by section, with instructions and examples for each one. You are not staring at a blank page trying to guess what to write about your own business. You answer the prompts and upload your photos, and we take it from there. Everything after that is on us. We build the site and configure all the automations.

Why do I have to provide the content?

Because nobody can describe your business better than you can, and a website written by someone who has never done your work reads like it.

Every section in the Project Hub tells you what we need, why we need it, and what a good answer looks like. Most owners get through it in one sitting.

How fast does my site go live?

Days, not months. Most agencies quote eight to twelve weeks. We do not.

Your review requests start going as soon as we are integrated with your Google Business Profile, so your Google profile is growing while the site is still being built.

What is your guarentee?

In your first 90 days we will add at least 20 new Google reviews to your profile. If we do not, we keep working free until we do.

The clock starts the day your site goes live, and it depends on you sending us your customer contacts so we have someone to ask. Beyond that, it is on us.

We will not promise you a number of leads or a revenue figure. That depends on your pricing, your close rate, and your industry. We guarantee the part we control.

Do I own my website?

Your domain is yours. Your content is yours. Your Google Business Profile is yours. If you ever leave, all of it goes with you and none of it is held hostage.

The build itself lives on our platform and stays there. That is what makes the rest of this work. If what you want is a site you own outright and host yourself, that is a different product and we will quote it separately. Just tell us up front so we can point you the right way.

Do you work with my current software?

Tell us what you use on our prep call and we will tell you straight whether we can connect to it. Plenty of tools we can, some we cannot, and we would rather say so up front than promise something and walk it back later.

At minimum, all we need is a way to get your customer contacts into the system. That can be as simple as you sending us a list.

How often do you contact my customers?

One request, then two gentle reminders. If someone does not leave a review, we put them on a 30 day cooldown so your repeat customers never feel pestered.

We tune the cadence for your business. You do not have to manage any of it.

Can you remove my bad reviews?

No, and be careful with anyone who says they can. Filtering or gating reviews violates Google's policies and can get your profile permanently removed.

What we do instead is make sure every happy customer actually leaves a review, so the good ones outnumber and outweigh the bad ones.

I already have a website. Why would I switch?

Fair question. Two follow ups: when was it last updated, and how many calls did it bring you last month?

Most owners cannot answer the second one. That is the actual problem. A website nobody can measure is a website nobody is maintaining.

What is not included?

Not included: paid ad management and ad spend, full new pages or sections built after launch, custom development, e-commerce, booking system builds, membership portals, blog and article writing, and photography or video.

Your site content comes from you through the Project Hub. We shape it, format it, and make it work on the page, but the raw material is yours.

We do most of these. They are quoted separately so your monthly stays predictable.
